Create new bookmark in trackr.sh

The only required fields are the bookmark URL and the Tags. If you don't enter a name trackr.sh will display the bookmark URL. The optional notes fields can be used to enter some more information about this bookmark or a small note for yourself.

You can also use the bookmarklet or one of our browser extensions to add bookmarks to trackr.sh.

Mozilla Firefox extension

Importing

You can import your existing bookmarks into trackr.sh. We currently support importing bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

The Import page will tell you where you can get the export file for your bookmarks and how to proceed.

Archiving

If you create a new bookmark we will download a copy of the webpage you've bookmarked. trackr.sh will try to store as much assets as possible about your webpage. In case the page you've bookmarked goes offline or is changed you can still access the archived copy via the archived link below the bookmark.

Archived bookmark in trackr.sh

At this time we will not update the archived copy of your bookmark. Once created our crawler will not create a new copy. If you want an updated archive copy, please remove and re-add your bookmark.

Autofill bookmark names

trackr.sh can automatically fill in the bookmark name if you leave this empty when creating a new bookmark. Our crawler will get the webpage you bookmarked and retrieve the HTML page title to use a bookmark name.

You can enable or disable this setting in your profile.

Tags

You can add any number of tags to your bookmarks. Tags can be used to quickly search relevant bookmarks.

Adding tags

When creating or editing a bookmark, you can enter any number of tags in the Tags field. Tags can be entered in a number of ways. The most basic way is to split each tag by a space or comma.

If you enter the string cat small animal in the tag field, the tags cat, small and animal will be used. Instead of spaces you can use commas: cat, small, animal.

Take care if you mix spaces and comma's though. cat, small animal will give you the tags cat and small animal

If you use space to split tags, you can add quotes to use a space in your tag name: cat "small animal" will result in the tags cat and small animal.

Tags can contain certain 'special' characters such as / or &
